For the presentations, I was born in 1975 in Brest, I am 43 years old
I moved a lot to the four corners of France, (making a few detours on the Pacific Ocean, and the Caribbean Sea) until 1991 when I settled in Toulon.
It was in 2010 that I fully embarked on drawing and painting.
Starting at the beginning with creations mixing painting and collage on all the subjects that fascinated me. Then one day I worked on a 1 US dollar banknote.
That was my revelation! It has this timeless side, and an object so classic and common to all, that this support has indisputably imposed itself on me. Who hasn't kept a banknote from a foreign country when they come back from holidays?
Fan of Pop Art, the United States, Japanese culture, (and let's not forget the comics and cartoons of the 80s) it is quite naturally that I transcribe them on my banknotes. These tickets allow me to travel as well as to recall a memory, a desire for something else, a discovery.
So I work on banknotes that I have printed and enlarged (keeping their proportions), then I make collage inserts, collages from creations made with acrylic paint. These collages must necessarily be linked to the country of origin of the banknote.
