The fauna of the Hyères saltworks accompanies the dream of beautiful summer evenings. It is therefore obviously essential that Mr. Z proposes to you in his own way, to share his creative emotion through his illustrations. The flamingo is one of the most iconic figure of Hyères and Giens Peninsula.

Les Salins is a strategic site for wildlife and plant observation. They are part of the European network of 'Natura2000' sites and have also been recognised since 2008 as a 'Wetland of International Interest'. They are major biodiversity spots.

The Salins offer here a landscape with two faces: the beach and the dunes on one side, the Salins on the other. The balance between species contributes to this harmony of the landscape, which is a testimony to the natural coastal spaces between land and sea, once very widespread.
